May 16, 2016 Great Week

Mother,

This week went great! We ended up having another Baptism! Her name is Mariana, she is the daughter of Hortencia who got baptized three weeks ago. Its kind of a funny story. After her mom got baptized she told us that she wanted to get baptized and that the 15th of May would be enough time for her to prepare but then she didnt go to church for a couple of weeks so we just never talked to her about it, but my companion and I decided that we should check with her and see if she still wants to get baptized on the 15th.

We went to her house on Wednesday and had a good lesson but then we just said to her "Can we come by tomorrow because we still have to teach a few things before your baptism on Sunday" Then her eyes got really big and said "I am still getting baptized on Sunday?" (Technically she couldnt because she had only been to church twice but we just wanted to see her reaction) Then she sat and thought about it for a minute, and said "Sounds good, what do I have to do" haha It was a lot of fun, so we told her, and then afterwards we called President Whitehead and he gave us Permission to baptize her!!!

Thats about the coolest thing that happened this week! Mariana was really happy with her baptism and her mother way even happier. Her mom shared her testimony in the baptismal service and it was a great experience!

Thats about all that is going on here. The other families we are teaching didnt come to church yesterday but we are going to keep working with them, and see what happens.

Love you, Hope all is well!

Awesome Week!!!! April 25, 2016

Mother,

Everything went awesome this week. First of all the Torres Family got Baptized!!!!! All of them except for Ricardo. He is 23 years old and having some problems with Alcohol lately so we are going to have to wait a little while for his baptism but we are going to keep working with him. It truly was a week full of miracles. We spent the entire week running around to different areas to do baptismal interviews and make sure everything was ready for Sunday and it all payed off!!! We ended up baptizing Six people in our area (Esthela, Candelario, Monse, Hortencia, Diego and Esthela Jr.) It was an amazing experience. The unfortunate part is that I didnt have my camara and all the pictures are on my companions camara so I am still waiting on the personal ones but I will attatch the picture of everyone that got baptized.

In our stake we brought everyone together and had a group baptism. We ended up having 8 baptisms as a zone on Friday and Saturday combined and then 18 baptisms on Sunday as a group. It was an amazing baptismal service. Even President Whitehead came to the service. We had 18 people being baptized and another 8-10 people doing the baptisms. We had a ton of support from all the wards in the stake and it went really well! It was an amazing day for us, and one that I will always remember. I will tell you more about it on Mother´s day!

Elder Olvera left the area today and I received my new companion. When Elders go home they leave their area on Monday with the other Elders that will be going home and spend the next couple of days with them and those who stay just have regular transfers. So today I got my last transfer and I will be working here in Morelos with Elder RiaƱo. He is from Columbia. I have known him for a long time but I havent really got to know him well. I hear he is a great missionary and its going to be a great time working with him!

Who knows what time we will be talking on Mothers day. I am assuming it will be at night. We finish our services at three and then we go to lunch until about 5 oclock. I am guessing it will be right after that, but I couldnt tell you exactly right now. Nobody has made any comments about it yet.

Thats about all that is going on here. We have a lot of people that we are teaching and a lot of things we have to do. I am hoping to have a really successful month next month and then calling it a mission!! Its crazy how fast time goes by but at the same time it feels like I have been gone forever. I wouldnt say I want to come home but its going to be great to be able to see the family again!

Its great to hear that everyone is doing well. I am really excited to watch Braden play this summer. He might even have a game the night I get back! That would be awesome!

I am doing great, and I am enjoyin the mission. I love you guys and I will see you soon!
